Been there twice now. The first experience was okay. However, the atmosphere of the place is dark, especially considering that it is campbelltown. I mean to say, it is an old place, a complex in which you walk through and it is filled with other old shops and very odd people. I did not feel safe going into the particular area this book shop is located, let alone into the complex. On the contrary, this first experience was okay since i found that their collection of books were vast and i found the category of classics which i had desired to be there and be seen. My second experience, today, was horrid. I had some books to trade in. On the firsthand, the customer service was rude. I had spoken initially to someone who said they would assess my books when i came in and then they would tell me the store credit i would receive, for, you see, they do not give cash. So when i did do that, these people, who by no means are classy people, were condescending in tone and attitude. They wanted me to look around so that i didnot crowd up the front counter whilst they assessed my books. Uhm, say what? The lady was VERY rude in saying that since there was hardly ANYONE in the shop. Very disrespectful. When they did give me an overview of the assessment of my books, the OTHER lady was hardly desirious of communicating with me. Whilst she was telling me my price or what not, she was walking away from me in which she then told me that she is going now, i took that to mean leaving the shop but which i later see she returns to the counter. Mind you, she had a worker at the counter already. Dont see why she is so darn rude and condesending. I mean, i am trying to ask questions. But she "was going now". Conclusion: They gave me $20 credit. And took half my books, "because the others were not wanted and they have 3000 books at the back". This is my reply to such an assertion. IT IS NOT my concern whether you do INDEED have 3000 books at the back, it could be 30 000 books, i DO NOT care. It does not justify on one account your rude attitude and neglect in treating me as a customer and on the other account of not wanting the other books. They treated as though i was stealing, or not worthy for them to exchange my books for store credit. That was the precise attitude they gave me. Final conclusion: do not exchange your books with these people. The store credit is hardly worth any effort. On the contrary, the prices for the books found within this store is not matching to the standard of the book. Many of the books are NOT in good condition and are NOT worth $6.50.
