  My daughter purchased a T shirt from Universal store in Macarthur Square for $60, _grey with "wildrose" emblem on the front. When she wore the shirt the colour came out onto her other clothing, for example her white bra was stained with grey marks from the shirt. Took it back for refund, store refused saying that the colour from some garments will stain other garments. My daughter advised that if this was the case then the garment should have carried a warning that this may happen, or she should have been warned by the store staff, in which case she wouldn't have purchased it.

  The employees at universal store in MacArthur square were completely helpful and supportive for me when buying clothes for Christmas this year, and on every occasion I have gone into their store, you don’t get service like this almost anywhere else and they were more friendly than any store I have ever been to

  The garment can no longer be worn as it stains the other clothing my daughter wears. She has wasted $60 of her hard earned money from working part time as a waitress - a lot of money to her, but a tiny amount for Universal. I am amazed at the appalling service offered by Universal - take a look at how the big professional stores operate - if she had purchased the garment from Big W or Target, they would have refunded the purchase price immediately and without question. We will never ever purchase anything from Universal again, and my daughter will no doubt advise her school friends and Facebook contacts of her poor experience with Universal.

  Phoned Universal's head office who were also totally unsympathetic, suggested we return the item by post to them for inspection. I advised that as a consumer my obligation in respect to faulty goods is to return them to where they were purchased form, which is what my daughter did.
